SSM was incorporated in 2003. The company was previously operating under the umbrella of Slurry Systems Pty Ltd and continues to work closely with it.

SSM specialise in the maintenance of ocean entrances by sands bypassing, beach protection through sands recycling, dredging, marine contracting and metal fabrication and design.
